Let's Go Fitness is the largest operator of fitness clubs in western Switzerland with a focus on the upper medium segment. The group currently operates 28 fitness clubs, with a focus in the region around Lake Geneva. Since its founding in 2002, the company has grown steadily and has more than 30,000 members today.
Together with the founder and co-owner Jean-Pierre Sacco AFINUM supports the further implementation of the growth strategy, both organic as well as through further acquisitions. The participation in Let's Go Fitness is the third investment of the new buyout funds AFINUM Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG started in October 2013.
According to the latest EuropeActive/edelhelfer market report, a total of one million people has a membership at one of the 950 health and fitness clubs in Switzerland. This is equivalent to 12.9% of the total population. Compared to other European fitness markets, Switzerland has the highest average gross membership fee of EUR 78. The ten leading players in the Swiss fitness market operate approximately 20% of the total number of clubs. Far and away the leading player in Switzerland is the Migros group, which operates a total of 62 facilities with different brands in its home country. It has recently started to expand to Germany as well. Let's Go Fitness is placed second with 28 clubs.
